Why do Random Acts of Kindness Make Us Feel Good?

Today we are celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day, an annual event that encourages people to commit as many kind random acts as possible. Whilst being kind to others should not, theoretically, be beneficial to ourselves, research has found that regularly being kind to others is good for our own general happiness levels.

Not only do acts of kindness help us build social bonds and develop our social skills, they also help to reduce our stress levels by supporting our psychological wellbeing. Researchers have also recognised that performing acts of kindness is likely to mean that there is an increased possibility that they will reciprocate by helping others.

At Default Blue we pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and we aim to perform random acts of kindness on a regular basis for all our clients. So, if you want to share the kindness, please get in touch.
